The “Home of Mount Rushmore”, Keystone is rich in gold mining history. It’s also just two miles from Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Keystone was also the adult home of Carrie Ingalls of Little House on the Prairie fame. Some of her collectibles can be seen at the Keystone Historical Museum. Come stay at one of our in-town cabins located in Old Keystone or in our Studio Cabins located just outside of town. Our in-town cabins are just a short walk from Main Street Keystone and 3 miles from Mt. Rushmore and many other Keystone area attractions. Our out of town cabins offer a very peaceful setting, yet still close to town and to Mt. Rushmore and other Southern Black Hills attractions.
Located on Old Hill City Road in Keystone, SD. about 1.5 miles out of town, our Studio Cabins have a queen-size bed, air conditioning, a private full bathroom (walk-in shower), and separate vanity; a flat-screen TV, a kitchenette (stove, sink, mini-fridge, and a coffee pot), an indoor dining area, an outdoor sitting area, and a BBQ Grill.
The Historic Ice House

Hill City is centrally located in the Black Hills, close to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, and Custer State Park. This close proximity has allowed Hill City to flourish over the years as a central location in the Black Hills. Deerfield lake is one of the favorites lakes in the Black Hills. It’s perfect for canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking for the entire family, adults and children. The lake is also great for fishing and is home to brook, splake and rainbow trout. Come stay at our cabins and enjoy nature and many other Hill City area attractions such as 1880 Train, the Alpine Inn, the Rock/Dinosaur Institute, John Crane gallery, Prairie Berry Winery, Crazy Horse, and much more!
The Eagle’s View Cabin

Though the vacation rental home feels amazingly isolated, it’s practically in the heart of the Black Hills, offering a central base for all of your Black Hills destinations and situated almost equally between Mt. Rushmore and the historic frontier gaming town of Deadwood.

Standard Room Amenities: All of our rooms have a standard bathroom with a bathtub/shower, flat-screen TVs, coffee pots, and blow dryers, along with a small area to hang your clothing.
Parking: Parking is limited to 2 vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Outdoor Sitting Areas: We feel lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world and we try to share as much of that world with you as we can. We have many sitting areas located around the lodge and the property for our guests to use. We encourage you to use these areas and to walk around and take in the beauty that surrounds you.
