History of Battle Creek Lodge

This beautiful, cozy, and comfortable lodge was originally built in the 1900’s as the Keystone Fire Hall and was later used as the youth center and gathering place.

The flood of 1972 left the building (and the community) in need of major repairs.  It was then the “Firehall” was auctioned off and the history of Battle Creek Lodge began.

Originally, the property took many forms.  From a “mom and pop” style diner to the lodge that exists today.  One of our favorite pieces of the property is the history that lays in these walls.

From the lobby, where the fire trucks used to park — where the beautiful hand laid rock fireplace now rests.  Battle Creek Lodge is full of Keystone’s rich history.
